Desvres Exchange sidings just south of
station looked rusty and as it
was late in evening
didn’t have time to investigate further.
Y6504 meant to be here.

Le Havre SP Surprised to find
nothing here and thought all locos must be
on outbound freight
services that evening however the real
reason became obvious
on Friday morning.

Le Havre Docks A partial exploration
revealed 60009/032/036
There is now a new stabling
and servicing facility in the docks consisting of a single road inspection shed
plus fuelling and sanding facilities. It is located at the Rouen end
of Faisceau Alluvionnaire at the junction of Route Industielle and Route de la

Rouen West Docks
Took a run up Quai de
Quenneport, Quai des Roches, Quai de Danemark where Rubis Tank facility, Silos
Soufflet and Lecurer are located but no sign of ex SNCF locos as all these
locations shunted by industrials.

The book “Brits Abroad” now
needs updating as 08738 and 08939 [ both marked EWS International ] were found
at Vallourec & Mannesman Tube factory. 64016 was in exchange
sidings. The rail lines don’t appear on all maps so I have put a map link
